How to Make Money Online in India

I can tell you the exact methods that I used to earn money online using my laptop and internet connection.

You can make money online:

  • If you have a passion to learn a new skill (like content writing, SEO, designing, video editing)
  • You can work consistently on your side business even if you don’t earn anything in the initial days.

11 Fast Ways to Earn Money Online

1. Become a Freelancer

If you are a good programmer, designer or marketer then you can find a lot of paid online jobs in India. You just need to be patient and willing to learn more. Freelancing is the best way to earn money online without any investment if you have the required skills.

You need to have two skills to become a good freelancer. One is your core skill, and the second skill is marketing. If you are not a good marketer, then seek help from an experienced marketer to make your profile. You have to have excellent communication skills to get clients.

2. Become a Stock Trader

You don’t need any money to start a freelance work but you would need a little money to start your career as a stock trader.

You can earn money online by doing stock trading if you know how to pick the right stock. You need a demat & trading account to start trading.

I must make you aware that you may lose money in stock trading so better to start with less money and invest more time in learning the basics of stock trading.

You can learn how to earn Rs. 1000 daily from intraday trading. You can start trading after learning the basics of stock trading.

Discount brokers are best for intraday trading as they charge fix brokerage up to Rs 20/trade irrespective of trade volume.

#3. Become a Consultant

You can sell your advice and knowledge to many people. You don’t have to be a super expert in one domain to become a consultant or teacher, you just have to be better than your student or client.

Anyone with a core competitive skill can become a consultant and find clients online. For example, if you are a legal or finance professional, then you can make your website, and start attracting clients online.

4. Earn Online Money from YouTube

You might not know that people are making millions from youtube. Again, not an easy option, but very much doable for anyone who can record & upload videos on a particular topic.

Two kinds of people can make successful YouTube channels, one who make funny & entertaining videos, second who can make highly helpful videos for a niche audience (like students, mothers, housewives, tech geeks).

5. Make Money from Social Media

There is no limit on earning money from Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

The social media fan base is an asset for such people, most of them are in the entertainment domain. People related to fashion and entertainment domain can monetise their Instagram page.

6. Become Domain Flipper

You can buy brandable domains and sell at a higher price at domain marketplaces.

I own more than 50 domains at this time. I keep on investing in the domains and sold one domain at the valuation of $15,000 (equivalent to Rs. 10 lakh). When you start working on your online business then you will also learn how to make money from the domain selling.

7. Income from Content Writing

You can earn money easily if you know how to write good content. You can learn the art of copywriting to make a decent income online.

Good content writers are high in demand who are earning upto $200 per article.

8. Start A Blog

Your blog can be your online business, it will take some time to build your website traffic and earn money. But once you start earning money from blog, then your blog generate money even when you are sleeping.

You can create Ads using simple Google Adsense and earn money with google.

9. Learn Affiliate Marketing

Starting affiliate marketing is similar to running a retail shop. You signup with retailers like Amazon and Flipkart, promote your favourite products on your website and social media to make decent money.

I am discussing affiliate marketing as a separate option because it can fit with any kind of online business. Some people don’t even have a website but make money through affiliate marketing.

10. Sell Softwares Online

That is the most beautiful and profitable way of running an online business. You can build small products and sell them on subscription model (Software as a Service).

You can also launch paid mobile apps for Android and Apple. You can make one million dollars if your $10 app is downloaded by 100,000 people.

11. Sell Products Through Shopify

  3. I was reading your and its wonderful. I see that you have mentioned iwriter as a Sources for Content writing and earning platform you recommend in the article.

Our platform, Contentmart.com, is somewhat similar to Scripted.com and I was wondering if you could add us to your post as an alternative. Main difference between contentmart and Scripted.com is that a writer can place bid on multiple orders with their desired pricing & take the benefits of bulk orders at once.

I hope you will list contentmart here too.

    Thanks

  21. Hi Pradeep,

Your experience shows right path to every person who want to start his own business.

I am Finance and Taxation guy retired three years back from private job. As a passion I have started my website and blog : http://jdesurat.weebly.com, http://popututu.blogspot.com. The contents are yet to be written as such pages are blank. I can write on many topics but do not know how to present in blogs.

Please guide me 1. How to present perfectly in blog (please see my blog and pin point my weaknesses). 2. how to get traffic and enlighten how to put word, phrases for SEO. When I check my website/blog analytics on google, there are hardly any hit.

Your guidance by e-mail open the door for me to write.

  22. Hi,
Would like to add few points here :
    1. Would like to congrats on your journey towards no more 9 to 6 cat race(financial independence).
2.Now lets look at the reality of majority :
! to get financial independent or to become rich : one should have multiple incomes.
!! leaving a job and running towards starting a business may not be good idea in majority of the cases and that’s what the statistics proves. out of 100 only 5 to 10 can be successful or able to manage, rest 90 businesses will be under debt.
    3. ONE SHOULD NOT LEAVE THEIR JOB 9 TO 6 JOB (irrespective of you like your work or not) till you earn and save good amount (which is called emergency fund of least 6 to 12 months ).
    4. The rule 3 may not apply if your a fresher and do not have any family responsibilities to take.
I would strongly recommend run towards your passion or any goal.
The real advantage here is lets say your 22 by end of your Graduation, you can try for 3 more years and say you got failed miserably which is absolutely fine, you will learn a lot knowingly and unknowingly and as best professionals says GET FAILED SOONER BEFORE YOU GET OLDER.
    5. I believe the author of this blog has written his story only after he’s become successful else he’d be so busy for his bread and butter.
    6. Yes I agree now the term “BUSINESS” has completed changed , anyone and any where without formal education can start and get successful/failure for whatever reasons.
    7. let business be successful or failure BUT you MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SUFFICIENT BALANCE TO LIVE YOUR BASIC LIFE AT LEAST NEXT 1 YEAR.

  23. Dear Pardeep Goyal ji,

Your method of presentation is very nice. Even a common man can understand what you want to convey. Learning is different from earning. One may have many qualifications but if he/she is not in a position to earn or may not have guaranteed monthly income, the said qualifications will become useless. To earn one must spend time, have to know the clues how to earn. Once he/she had an idea , then they will plan and implement. I wish you all success in your endeavours in educating the needy people.

      • Traffic was not so great.I didn’t do much for publicising the post except for providing the link to the posts on my Facebook wall. Also,my friends in Facebook didn’t find the articles much ‘entertaining’,as they were more of ‘academic’ in nature. Can you suggest some ways to improve the traffic ?
